Description:
The Accounts Payable Accountant is responsible for performing accounts payable duties.
The major accounting function of this role is to attest vendor invoices and to assess the validity of those charges before processing them for payment in accordance with TEUSA's accounting procedures.
A willingness to multi-task and interface with the various departments within the company and an ability to identify and implement process improvements will be of value in this role.
Qualifications:
The following qualifications are preferred.
- Demonstrate the Corporate Values: Honest Communication, a Bias for Results, Respect, Excellence, Teamwork, Safety Mindset and Passion
- An Associate’s degree, along with 3 - 5 years Accounts Payable experience.
- Skilled in word processing, presentation and spreadsheet software with the ability to learn new programs
- Exposure to financial IT systems is an asset.
- Strong, independent problem solving skills, with excellent analytical and communication skills.
- A positive, professional attitude, strong sense of responsibility and excellent work ethic
- Excellent organizational, analytical skills and a strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage and prioritize a busy workload to meet tight deadlines
- An effective team player who works well independently and with minimal supervision
