On Tuesday, January 10, 2012 Talisman Energy USA reported a spill incident at its Kirkowski well pad in Canton Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. Talisman officials immediately notified the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and clean-up on the site commenced. The majority of the fluid, which was production brine from an above ground tank, was released into the containment. The cause of the incident is under investigation by Talisman and the DEP.
